CHAOSBREED: Swedish Recording Sessions Cancelled
September 2, 2003CHAOSBREED, the new Finnish death metal supergroup consisting of drummer Nalle Österman (ex-GANDALF),bassist Oppu Laine (ex-AMORPHIS, MANNHAI),guitarist Marko Tarvonen (MOONSORROW),guitarist Esa Holopainen (AMORPHIS),and vocalist Taneli Jarva (ex-SENTENCED, THE BLACK LEAGUE),have abandoned plans to record their debut album, "Brutal", at Stockholm's Sunlight Studios with producer Tomas Skosberg. "The reason for this is Tomas Skogsberg's personal problems with the recording schedule so the session was cancelled," reads a post on the band's web site.
The band are now scheduled to commence the recording sessions for "Brutal" later this week at CCPC studio in Finland with producers Santeri Kallio and Niclas Etelävuori. An early 2004 release through an as-yet-undetermined label is expected.
In other news, CHAOSBREED will open for ENTOMBED at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland on September 15.
